It looks out over the Sound of Sleat towards Knoydart, one of the least inhabited areas of the Highlands. Speuran Mòra sits on the south east slope of the Cnoc a’ Caise beag which means ‘Little Cheese hill’, one of the hills of Teangue. Teangue lies half way along the Sleat peninsula which is known as the garden of Skye. It is about 12 miles from Broadford, the nearest village and about 5 miles from the ferry port at Armadale.
